Dr. Kelly Layne Named OTD Director of Admissions

The Department of Occupational Therapy is pleased to announce that Kelly Layne, OTD, MOT, OTR/L, has accepted the position of OTD Director of Admissions and will be joining the department leadership team effective immediately.

Dr. Layne is a Clinical Associate Professor for Baylor's Doctor of Occupational Therapy program. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology (1998) from the University of Southwestern Louisiana. She then earned her Master of Occupational Therapy (2001) and her Post Professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy (2003) from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. Dr. Layne is currently pursuing a PhD in Educational Technology and Design from Walden University.

Dr. Layne has served on the OTD Admissions Committee and brings a wonderful mixture of rigor, attention to detail, and kindness that will be an asset to the department leadership team. Her focus on student success, commitment to excellence, and passion for education will be invaluable in this new role.
