Hope Hodges, PhD, OTR
Clinical Associate Professor
Department of Occupational Therapy
Dr. Hodges has 26 years of experience in Occupational Therapy. She is currently a Clinical Associate Professor in the Doctor of Occupational Therapy program at Baylor University. In the beginning of her career, she pursued post-professional education and worked full-time in hand therapy. In 2001, she received a Master of Occupational Therapy from New York University with an emphasis in Orthopedic Biomechanics. In 2005, she received a Ph.D. in occupational therapy from Texas Woman’s University.
In addition to working in hand therapy, she spent the last two years of full-time clinical work in Acute care, Trauma, and burn care. Dr. Hodges began her academic career teaching undergraduate research and biomechanics. In 2013, she became the founding program director of the Master of Science in Occupational Therapy program at Abilene Christian University. She is currently a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association, Texas Occupational Therapy Association, and the World Federation of Occupational Therapy, as well as a member of the American Association of University Women.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, amateur wildlife photography, and being outdoors.
