Jerilyn Callen, OTD, OTR

Jerilyn Callen is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy at Baylor University. Dr. Callen joined as a full-time faculty member in May 2022. In 2018, Dr. Callen graduate with a Post-professional Occupational Therapy Doctorate from the University of Utah, and she has spent the past five years teaching in the role of faculty and administration across several programs in the state of Texas.
Dr. Callen primarily focuses on mental health and service delivery coursework. Before that, she practiced in various settings, focusing on mental health with patients across the lifespan. Much of that time was spent working in interprofessional mental health teams within early childhood services. Currently, Dr. Callen is working as part of a research team studying multigenerational communication. In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Callen has served as an Assistant Program Director and an Academic Fieldwork Coordinator. She also serves as a state-level OT association leader and is a member of the Roster of Accreditation Evaluators for ACOTE (Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education. She resides in Texas with her husband and five children.
