The Certificate in Hybrid Teaching for the Occupational Therapy Practitioner provides professional development in the specialized area of hybrid teaching and learning. - Individuals who seek enrollment in Baylor's Post-professional OTD program and would like the opportunity to adjust the workload of the PP-OTD program to achieve their goals
- Current Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) degree holders who desire a specialization in hybrid teaching to expand skills or transition into an academic role
What are the student outcomes?
Graduates of the 9-month, five course, Certificate in Hybrid Teaching for the Occupational Therapy Practitioner will:
- Integrate evidence, professional trends, and regulations that guide best practices in hybrid teaching for occupational therapists.
- Design learning activities and assessments using principles of instructional design and innovative teaching strategies to educate future occupational therapists and other stakeholders.
- Influence the occupational therapy profession through education and/or advocacy activities.
How does the certificate program connect to Baylor's Post-professional OTD program?
Students enrolled in the PP-OTD program will also receive the Certificate in Hybrid Teaching for the Occupational Therapy Practitioner. Students who are interested in pursuing the PP-OTD program at a slower pace may pursue the Certificate, and if the student meets the admissions requirements for the PP-OTD program, she or he can transition into the full program after completing the Certificate. Students interested in the Certificate to PP-OTD program will earn the Certificate in 9 months and the full degree in 25 months.
