Kaitlyn Cremer is a Clinical Associate Professor and the Director of Doctoral Capstone for the Baylor Doctor of Occupational Therapy program. She earned her Masters in Occupational Therapy (2010) and her Post Professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy (2011) from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. Dr. Cremer holds a specialty certification in Low Vision (SCLV) awarded by AOTA. She has extensive training for Dementia Care and Dementia Care for intellectual/developmental differences (I/DD) population. She is an onsite-prevention specialist and Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS).
Dr. Cremer is a practicing clinician with experience in a variety of settings including geriatrics, pediatrics, acute care, acute rehabilitation, in-home care, low vision, injury and prevention and ergonomics for a well workforce, and non-traditional, community-based practice for Adults with I/DD. She continues to offer occupational therapy consultative services. Her research interests include low-vision rehabilitation, interprofessional collaboration, and leveraging occupational therapy in community settings.
Dr. Cremer has presented nationally and internationally on a variety of topics including low-vision rehabilitation, interprofessional collaboration and practice, OT and I/DD, and innovative educational practices. She serves on the Peer Review Committee for Envision. Within her community, Dr. Cremer serves on the Advisory Committee for the Specialized Aging Support Program, Business and Industry Leadership Team and Board of Trustees for Veritas Classical Christian School.
