Post-Professional OTD Program
Elevate your expertise, on your schedule.
Baylor University’s online Post-professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy (PPOTD) program prepares occupational therapists for continued personal and professional growth as they pursue a clinical specialty.
The PPOTD curriculum also includes five courses focused on hybrid teaching and learning, allowing students to earn a specialty Certificate in Hybrid and Online Teaching for the Health Sciences in addition to the OTD.

Post-Professional OTD Program Information
Our fully online, primarily asynchronous program features a learner-centered curriculum that builds on students’ experience to prepare them to be doctorally trained practice scholars. Coursework emphasizes evidence-based practice, client-centered care, and experiential learning in a virtual environment—all within a caring, Christian community.
Our curriculum is broken into three sets of courses: Core Courses (17 credit hours), the Doctoral Capstone (7 credit hours), and Hybrid and Online Teaching (6 credit hours).
We are proud to offer competitive merit-based scholarships when available, ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 to support qualified students during the capstone stage of the program. Students are eligible to apply for this funding upon enrollment.
