Bridget Scheidler, EdD, OTR, CAPS
Clinical Assistant Professor
Bridget Scheidler serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy at Baylor University. She earned her Bachelor of Health Science (2004) and Master of Occupational Therapy (2005) from the University of Florida. In 2019, she received her Doctor of Education degree, with a specialization in Teaching and Learning, from the University of Saint Augustine for Health Sciences. She became a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) from the National Association of Home Builders in 2013. Dr. Scheidler’s clinical experiences spans across different adult and older settings including skilled nursing facilities, assistive living facilities, home health, and outpatient clinics.
She has presented at both national and international conferences and published multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Scheidler volunteers at a local student-run pro-bono clinic to assist in supervising OT students when treating underserved community members. She is a member of the Accessibility Advisory Committee for the Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission. She also serves as the Technology and Accessibility Special Interest Section Chair for the South Carolina Occupational Therapy Association. She resides in South Carolina with her husband and two children.
